One of the things that I had always wanted to do was take a family trip to Europe. You see, this is my second marriage, and I wanted us Anne and John, to take my children, Andrew and Julia, on a trip to Europe. I thought a Rick Steve's tour would be the ideal way to bond and create memories to last a lifetime. We all kept journals, so you will hear portions of this trip by different family members. (Actually, my husband, John, did not keep a journal so you won’t hear from him – but he is helping with the website so I can't be too upset with him.)
Why we took this trip by my daughter Julia:
"It has been a dream of Mom's for quite a while to take us all to Europe. Between four busy calendars, the only free time was Christmas. Off to the Rick Steves' website, where we discovered that all roads lead to Rome! Our trip was booked by March and the countdown to our Roman Holiday began."
Come with us and you will see why it was indeed a trip of a lifetime!
Did you know...
SPQR stands for Senatus Populusque Romanus – "the Senate and the People of Rome." SPQR was stitched into every legionnaire's flag and are still all over Rome, on monuments, cab doors, and drain covers.
